So it took forever (Blogger was being ridiculous), but I finally have some pictures of my birthday party to share!
I took my inspiration from pink parties and dessert tables I found online (Remember I had a whole post a few weeks ago with pictures and inspiration?)
Well, here is my version of a dessert table. I made all the food myself! It was fun, but hectic, organising everything and setting it all up. Luckily my best girl friends came over a few hours earlier to help me. Laura works in advertising and marketing, and so she is always up with the party and decorating trends. She helped me set up the dessert table.
We used our dining room table, and pushed it up against the back window.
I made the tablecloth from some beautiful pink damask fabric, then we had vases and vases of bright pink flowers (rose, carnations, tulips) and glass jars filled with candles. Laura also bought me the cutest tea set (teapot, tea cups, sugar and creamer jars, the whole lot!) so we put them on display too.
For food, we had:
Strawberries dipped in chocolate
Rocky road
Snickers brownies
Cupcakes
Champagne with raspberries
Marshmallow and banana kebabs drizzled with chocolate
Oreo cake balls dipped in chocolate
More cupcakes (made by my friend Claryse, the cupcake queen!)
Pink lemonade and lemon, lime and bitters to drink
Pikelets with cream and jam
Chocolate sheet cake
Toblerone cheesecake
The "Enjoy" sign we took down off the wall in my study and used as a decorating prop!
