The question I'm most asked lately is "what are you doing with yourself now you're on uni holidays? It seems on the basis of probability that you'd probably like to know the answers too! So I thought I'd answer it on here.
You already know that I've been to Brisbane to visit Dad & co. (there's too many names to include, so I just abbreviate it like that!). I flew up on the 20th and came back to Sydney on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas Day here in Sydney since we were hosting Christmas at our house this year. Every year we have a big group of family friends that each take turns to host Christmas lunch at their place (although we usually end up spending the whole day there and often go well into the night!).
So that was Christmas Day.
Boxing Day... I always hate the 26th because it is such a let down after the excitement of Christmas Day! We didn't do anything exciting, just cleaned up and watched TV. I spent most of my time on the computer!
in between... I have plans to go to the beach with some of my friends. There was also talk of staying at a friend's beach house in Wollongong. I'm not working until January now, so I'm free as a bird!
New Years... we plan to (drive!) to the Gold Coast on the 30th and spend NYE at Martin & Fran's house. We're there till the 4th so I'm hoping to catch up with Dad & co. again and take proper family photos (with everyone included this time!)
Other plans for the summer include:
- watching DVD's of my favourite TV shows (Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice).
- trying to get back into practising my violin after slacking off for the holiday season.

Christmas in Brisbane
I flew to Brisbane last Saturday to meet up with Dad, Deb, Chelsea & Sarah at Kath & Rick's house in Brisbane. Actually, I got there before Dad & Chelsea, but that's beside the point!
It was a bit of a madhouse, but fun all the same.
Sarah & Rachel were very involved in the whole Christmas shopping thing:

Out for dinner for Kath's birthday:
Chelsea & I

Sarah & Rachel

I called this our "abridged" family photo session, because only a few family members were ready in time to have their photo taken in the impromptu photo session in Kath & Rick's front yard!

Hair
I got my hair done today... sort of a gift to myself for making it through this semester (although it would have become an "it's okay" consoling gift to myself if I hadn't passed all my units when I found out this morning seeing as I made the appointment last week!)
Here is a picture... it's brown/red... although you can't really see the red that much in this photo.

Uni results
I PASSED ALL MY UNI SUBJECTS!!!!!
EVEN THE SUPER-HARD STATISTICS ONE!
AND SINCE I ALSO MAINTAINED A CREDIT AVERAGE (JUST!) THAT MEANS I GET TO KEEP MY SCHOLARSHIP FOR ANOTHER SEMESTER! PHEW!!!
(Sorry for the CapsLock, but this is such a relief. I was really worried about failing my Stats unit (aka Experimental Design and Analysis) and if that happened, not only would I have had to go to Summer School and retake the unit at Bankstown next year, but I would've lost my scholarship.)
These are my results:
Experimental Design and Analysis 54 PASS
Social and Developmental Psychology 73 CREDIT
American Foreign Policy Since 1945 63 PASS
Introduction to the Psychology of Health 73 CREDIT
Giving me an average of 65... just pulling in a credit average, which is what is required for me to maintain my scholarship. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dance Concert
On Saturday was my dance concert.
Here are some photos (consider this your backstage pass!)

Tenneil & Lisa, my friends from church, acted as hairdressers for the class I teach. They were dancing to Thriller, so they had to have crazy hairstyles... Tenneil went a bit overboard with teasing everyone's hair... especially her own!

We are such posers!

Violin
My first ever violin concert was this past Sunday... wouldn't you know it, just as I got up to perform O Come All Ye Faithful (accompanied by my teacher and everything!)... the camera died!
I was SO annoyed!
Mainly because I wanted to post it on here for all of you to see!
Anyway, I recorded it today- it's not as good, my violin sounds a bit metallic, but what can you do?
Oh, and by the way, I'm wearing the highly coveted cream silk cardigan/shrug thing I am obsessed with! If you read my Twitter updates, you will know what I'm talking about! I ended up buying it at the Penrith store after all!
On with the show (make sure you pause the music player on the right)...

Whoops!
I just realised that by default, Blogger disables comments from anyone who isn't a registered member! (No wonder I had no comments, even though I asked especially for them!)
Anyway, I have rectified this and now you can all leave comments on any of the previous posts (including the one below with photos of me in a tutu!) and all further posts as well.
I am having an excellent week, thankyou for asking.
First full week of uni holidays... heck yes! Although I'm still working at PAC on Mondays and Tuesdays, still have dancing on weeknights and still have church on the weekends, I also have lots of free time to indulge in spontaneous shopping sprees, Grey's Anatomy DVD marathons, you tube surfing aaaaand.... blogging!
Expect to hear more often from me now that my days are my own!
